During this exercise we are teaching the dog to refusal bait with one of our students with his auxiliary. On the ground there are piececs of meat, odors of the female dog in heat. The results need no words.

The sweet Lagotto on this video has been trained only with the Tartufo Majella since she was 3 months old and we can see the difference on the attitude. She goes directy to the hole where the tartufo is hidden, without caring about the meat on the ground. Instead of the first video where the other dog at the begining was a little confused and not too concentrated on the odor that was supposed to research. This exercise will help us when we go in the forest, they won’t be too attracted by food on the ground that could be dangerous for them or dead animals, ensuring more safety for them and a better performance.

Olfactive discrimination. Great job done considering also the age of the puppy, it’ s just 6 months old. Meat and hot dogs on the ground, we are proud of the binomial man-dog and proud of the training that the Tartufo Majella let’s us do. This will happen in the forest too.
